| | What a ride!
I want to start this out by saying thanks to all of the people who have supported us over the years. You have been the reason why we have done this. Last night I talked to all of the guys and we have decided to hang up the towel. I have been doing Skyline Blue for 3 years now and have loved every second of it. It has given me so much joy, but it is time to move on.
Between work, school, and family we have just run out of weekends in the month. We have maintained a play schedule of about 5 shows a month. This has been a blast, and a lot of hard work. We have had a wonderful run of shows! We are just worn very thin by life.
I have never been in a band that was not torn apart by personal problems. This is not the case with SB. We all get along beautifully and are hoping that life allows us to be able to play together in the future.
We have been able to play with some very awesome people. (Andrew Osenga, Nick Flora, Coin Laundry Loser, More Than A Threat, Deas Viel, Sean Michel Band, Looks From Roslyn, and many others) These will be times that I will never never forget.
We have sold hundreds of CD's, and have been played on Spin 180 out of Dallas. We have played to many shows to count and have made tons of friends. It is really hard to give up something that you put so much of yourself into, but moving on is exciting.
I will take some time out now just to let you know what the everyone in the band will be doing.
Justin Smith is talking about putting together a ministry team and create new and exciting worship music. He will also be preforming with some other local talent.
Shane Jamison is going to take some time to be with his beautiful wife and daughter, before jumping back into the music.
Rachel McCauley is going to take some time off from music and work on going to grad. school. She will still appear with me when I play and will continue doing background vocals and piano in my music.
Justin Randolph will be helping me on some ideas that I have for a new prodject. He is aslo working full time for the River Campus Ministry.
And that leaves me----Jarred McCauley----I will be taking some time off from the rock scene and will be doing a solo singer- songwriter thing. I will keep you informed as to when I will be recording and playing shows. I am hoping for this project to be very chill. I will be hopefully recording by the end of the year and will let you know when this project is out.
I also would be remiss not to thank our beautiful families. Your love and support has been the cornerstone that has kept us going. Thank you for your sacrifice.
From the start we wanted this band to represent the love that we find in our God, families, and friends. I hope that you have found joy in being apart of the music.
Love hard and never forget that music is one of the greatest ways to channel the heart. Support your music scene!
Thanks again to all of you who have been so amazing to us. May God bless you and keep you.
